Book Distribution
WHO IT’S FOR:
- Parents and caregivers of young children (birth to age 5)
- Grandparents
- Foster and adoptive parents
WHY IT MATTERS:
Having books at home helps increase the frequency of reading, which exposes young children to more words and helps lay the foundation for early language and literacy.
WHAT IT IS:
Book Distribution gives families opportunities to build home libraries by providing them with developmentally-appropriate books for their children. Families can enter their zipcode into the Find Programs tool to see what programs, such as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, are available in their area, contact the program directly and enroll in the program to have books distributed to their homes. Use the Find Programs search tool to find out how you can participate.
