National Advisory Panel Charter
Purpose
The purpose of the National Advisory Panel is to assist the Board in developing a comprehensive, statewide and regional research and evaluation framework.
Membership
FTF staff shall appoint the members of the Panel. Members shall include leaders from around the nation in fields of evaluation related to FTF’s priority areas. Where possible, the members shall include at least one qualified Board member and one qualified Regional Partnership Council member, including one member who can represent a tribal perspective. FTF staff shall designate the Panel Chair and, in the absence of the Chair, an Acting Chair.
Meetings
The Panel shall meet annually and may meet more often as needed to fulfill its responsibilities as charged.
Key Responsibilities
The Panel shall:
- Review FTF research and evaluation activities annually to ensure alignment with recommendations of the Panel and quality standards.
- Review and critique approaches for planned research and evaluation activities.
- Ensure FTF undertakes high quality planning, coordination, and implementation of all research and evaluation activities.
- Advise FTF on system progress measures for priority system roles, especially Data and Evaluation, identified in the Statewide Strategic Plan.
